Transforming potent amorphous waters of the primordial ocean into organic life,
Like a lotus blossom rising out of the muddy, murky waters so emerge the universe,
Thus, the feminine divine creates, delighting in sacred sounds and musical verse.

Her attendants wisp away inauspiciousness, fan the growth of virtues in mankind.
Elephants holding vessels of life-giving waters perform ritual bathing of earth divine
Showering fertile waters from bellowing laden rain clouds according to design.

Of sovereign nature, a shining beauty greater than the force of a thousand suns,
As the sap of existence in the tree of life, auspicious qualities hanging on the boughs,
Imbuing the earthy creatures with fame, happiness, wealth and power she endows.

Source of purity and spiritual liberating power as strong and gentle as a lotus petal,
More dazzling than the radiance of the golden orb, or the slivery cooling moonbeams,
The compassionate mother, the faults and defects of her children, she redeems.

Dwelling in totality as the attributes of virtue, truth, austerity, strength, and vow
The saintly accomplished wise ones with loving effort propitiate her and bow,
Oh Salutations! Goddess of Imbued Auspiciousness
